From the smallest craft print shop in Maremma, Tuscany 

My name is Wolfgang Scheibe, years ago I learned the craft of typesetting with mobile letters in the way of Johannes Gutenberg, six hundred years ago. Since 2008 I live and work in Tatti, Tuscany, Italy. Besides my work as an international accepted biodynamic advisor I never let aside my grafic and painting passions. Here in tatti an Ape 703 is my daily companion between home, garden and printshop. Meanwhile, the series of Ape-prints has grown up to over 80 different motifs and connects my agricultural and gardening work with other observations of my surroundings. The prints are based on linoleum and woodblock carving, traditional printing colors, and simple printing presses. I am also inspired by the different colors of the Tuscan soil-colors with which in silicat-technique I use to paint the walls of houses inside and outside, and on canvases
